At Jo’s Dog Grooming, your dog receives calm, gentle, one-to-one care in a relaxed environment. I’m truly passionate about dogs and treat every dog as if they were my own.
My focus is simple, to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and completely at ease throughout their groom. Whether it’s their first visit or they’ve been coming for years, I take the time to build trust so grooming becomes a positive experience.
Based in Copthorne, I welcome dogs from Crawley, Horley, Smallfield and surrounding areas.
About us
My journey into dog grooming started with a simple love for animals.
I spent several years as a stay-at-home mum while my children were young. Once they started school, I began looking for something I could do for myself and took on a part-time role at a local kennels — and that’s where everything changed.
Having grown up around dogs and cats, I had always wondered what it would be like to work with animals. That experience at the kennels showed me that this wasn’t just a job I enjoyed — it was something I truly wanted to pursue.
I went on to train professionally in dog grooming and achieved my City & Guilds qualification, before setting up Jo’s Dog Grooming in 2021.
What I love most about grooming is the calm it brings — both for me and the dogs I work with. I focus on creating a relaxed, one-to-one environment where each dog feels safe and cared for. Grooming allows me to give my full attention to every dog, building trust and making sure they have a positive experience.
For me, there’s nothing better than seeing a dog leave looking and feeling their best — and the smile it brings to their owner’s face when they come to collect them.
